ALBERT TOWN TO LUGGATE BIKE TRACK

RIDE, HAVE FUN AND EXPLORE THE CLUTHA

Another beautiful river ride!

Explore the Clutha at your own pace. This is a 55km circuit.

PICK UP is from Downtown Wanaka outside the iSite.
We take you to the Albert Town Swing Bridge. From there you ride down one side of the mighty Clutha, cross at the Luggate red bridge, where you can pop to the historic Luggate pub, before dropping back down to the river track to ride all the way back up past Albert Town, around Eely Point and into Wanaka.

You will pass through old gold mining sites,  enjoy fantastic river views and local farmland.

This is a 55km ride and can be done on standard bikes with a moderate level of fitness or enjoyed on an e-bike. This ride is the perfect combination of scenery and terrain for those wanting a few more km’s in their ride than the Hawea to Wanaka River tail.

This track is suitable for riders of all abilities from beginners and intermediate.

If you want to spice the trip up add in the Deans Bank Bike Park at Albert Town for 11 extra km of flow, loopbacks and hills.

A local favourite! We cut out the hassle and supply your transport, to the start,  bike hire, and of course up to date instructions! It is the combination of the scenery and terrain which makes this the perfect ride for all abilities.
